What do Susan's grandchildren do at her farm?

Anna and Hallie, notice Hallie's pink boots, they are a hand-me-down from Anna

Hallie was in a hurry to go somewhere.

5-6 year old basketball, we went to Garrett's basketball game. He is the one in blue shorts, blue shirt with his hands up and looking to his left.

Garrett yawned DURING the game

After the sand pile, the fun moved to the basketball court. Garrett practiced his jump shot.

The ball stuck in the net so Garrett moved a half/barrel to stand on to reach the net.

I held Sam up so he could make a basket

Garrett decided to gain a little height by standing on the barrel to shoot. His mom Kelly and brother Sam gave him advice.

Anna sat in the bleachers - in this case an attachment for the tractor

After the basketball game, Garrett decided it was time to climb a tree

It was quite a day at the farm - a little soccer, sand pile, basketball, and tree climbing

Alicia's Wedding

Congratulations to my niece Alicia Siefers on her marriage to DJ Basgall on Saturday, May 14, in Las Vegas. Her sister Rebecca sent me a few photos from the event and I wanted to share them with you. Last weekend was a roller coaster of emotions for our family. On Friday, we buried my Dad in Dorrance; and on Saturday, Dad's grand daughter, Alicia, got married in Las Vegas. Life is like that. As Forrest Gump said, 'Life is like a box of chocolates, You never know what you are going to get." I know that I was thinking of Alicia and her wedding last weekend; I am pretty sure she was thinking of us in Dorrance, too. Even though Bill and his family could not be at Dad's funeral, I know Dad was very, very proud of Alicia and that he would want Bill to be with her to celebrate her wedding. Maybe the timing has something to do with the circle of life - a time for something to end and a time for something to begin. I can tell you one thing for sure, seeing these photos of Alicia's wedding brought a big slice of joy to my day.

Alicia and DJ and their first kiss - well ok, so maybe it is not their first kiss - but it is their first kiss above the city of Las Vegas.

The Doll House

What is the Doll House? Joey told his daughter Anna that he was building her a doll house. She believed him, so she now calls this building the doll house. It will be used to house water and electrical necessities for the new feedlot. I have a feeling Anna and Hallie will be able to get a smaller version of the doll house if they ask their daddies.
