Photos of the Day

I love this look of wonderment from Natalie.

Susan, Nancy, Debbie, and Jody with the KC skyline in the background.

Sam looked a little frazzled by the hug from his sister Anna.

Matt and his daughter Hallie. She seems to be looking at something very interesting.

This photo was taken after the last home game for the K-State women's team. As you can tell, it was very windy that day.

One Birthday Wish and a Few More Photos

Happy Birthday to the Best Sports Writer in the World - my friend Mechelle. She is barely visible in this photo because she is holding Garrett. Mechelle is a dear friend who always brings laughter and love to Nancy and me. This photo was taken on Garrett and Anna'a 'vacation' to Manhattan. They spent a couple of days with us (and their Grandma Thielen), but most of the time was spent in the hot tub. They had just showered after their late night visit to the hot tub.

This is Nancy's niece Sara and Nancy's brother-in-law Harvey. They live in Lincoln, Nebraska, and are the daughter and husband to Nancy's sister, Jane, who has been very, very good to Nancy and me during my illness. Of course, she was good to us before I was sick, too.

John, don't you think your daughter Natalie is a little too young to drink beer?

Hallie loves to smile for the camera!
Or, she just smiles when she thinks of her favorite grand aunt - Mary Kay.

Love those pink boots! Jody was one of Anna's favorite playmates at Easter.

I think Hallie is praying that her parents, Matt and Lori, won't embarrass her.

Photo of the Day - MK, Rebecca, and Nancy

Are we the three musketeers? The three Amigos? I think Nancy is smiling because of the glass of wine sitting in front of her. And Rebecca is smiling because she is with her favorite aunt - yep that's right - Mary Kay.

Photo of the Day - Debbie, Natalie and MK

Natalie is being held by her Grandma Debbie, but she really wanted down to play with her favorite grand aunt. Yes, you are right, Mary Kay is her favorite grand aunt!!

A Few Photos from Easter Weekend

Matt's daughter Hallie loves to play the piano. She pounds on the keys and then throws up her hands as if to say - 'wasn't that a great song?'

Joey and his son Sam

Hallie and her favorite grand aunt - Mary Kay

Garrett 'accidentally' got his Gator stuck in the mud so he backed his pedal tractor in position to pull out the Gator. It seems Garrett has been stuck in this muddy location several times in the past few days.

Kevin and the best dog in the world - yes that would be Kramer - spent a little time contemplating life from the front porch.

Nancy, Garrett, and Karna toured the Thielen homestead in Karna's new toy. Shelby, Matt's dog in the back, decided riding was a much better choice than running along side.

The Siefers siblings - Susan, MK, Bill, and Debbie

Susan, Anna, and Joey and the Easter bunny that Mick delivered to the party.

Matt, Lori, and Hallie took a Sunday drive.

Every once in a while a favorite toy lands on the roof. I am not sure if Mick is steadying the ladder or antagonizing Joey while he retrieved the toy.

Sometimes Anna is happy (and dirty) and sometimes she is upset!!

Aunt Joan, did you drink that whole bottle of wine?

Susan, Mom, and MK on Easter morning in St Joseph's church in Dorrance

Anna, Hallie, and Garrett in their Easter outfits - this is the best photo we could get before they each ran their own direction. Sam was already at home because he had a poop accident during mass that not only soiled Sam's Easter outfit but also Nancy's skirt. Sam and Nancy both had to leave because of the 'overflow.'

Family Fun in Kansas City for Spring Break

We enjoyed a delicious meal at McCormick and Schmick's at the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City. We were all smiles in this photo because we just finished the signature dessert - a chocolate bag with white mousse and lots of strawberries, blueberries, and raspberry puree. Of course, the wine contributed to our smiles, too. On the left side of the table - my sister Susan, my niece Jody, my sister Debbie; on the right - my partner Nancy, my niece Rebecca, and me.

This photo was taken on the steps leading to the restaurant. Do we look hungry? Left to right: Nancy, Rebecca, Jody, Debbie, Susan and me. We had a great time in KC. Thanks ladies for fun and laughter on this trip!! Are you ready for a few days in Las Vegas in June?
