More from Nancy's birthday weekend

Debbie, Jody, Aunt Joan and birthday girl Nancy

On Saturday morning, we attended a baby shower for Kevin and Sharon.

Mother and son, Kelly and Garrett, played a 'friendly' game of baseball Saturday afternoon.

Kelly slipped past Garrett as he tried to tag her. Anything goes in two-person baseball. In fact, later in the game, throwing the ball at the base runner was an acceptable way of getting an out.

Hey batter, batter - swing!

I love this photo of Garrett. He definitely kept his eye on the ball.

Hallie

Cowgirl Anna waited patiently for her dad Joey to saddle TJ.

Hallie started to get a little uncomfortable on her ride with Anna on TJ. Last week, one of the horses nibbled or bit Hallie so she was still a little leery. You can see by her expression and her death grip on Anna that it time to get off.

Matt and Hallie enjoyed the sunny, warm weather.

Delightful Weekend for Nancy's Birthday

It was a great birthday weekend for Nancy and me. Ok, ok, so it was Nancy's birthday and not mine, but I still enjoyed the celebrations. We started on Friday night by visiting the Brenneman sisters - Natalie and Emily - and then we ate dinner at Red Lobster. I took a lot of photos this past weekend so I will post them over the course of a few days. But, for now enjoy the Friday night photos.

And this, it was part of the K-S-U, but I am not sure what part.

Nancy, Tim and Joey - Birthday buddies

Tim
I don't have a photo of Tim, so I posted the next best thing - the Cardinals logo.

Sweet Nancy - yes she has to share the photo with me.

I couldn't decide on a photo of Joey so I just decided to post family photos. Enjoy.

Garrett (and Kelly's) birthday party

Garrett placed seven candles on his cake.

I love this group photo: Anna is looking at the box of candles, Garrett is looking at his mom, Sam is sticking his tongue out, and Hallie closed her eyes. It doesn't get any better than that.

I am not surprised that Sam was the first to stick his finger in the frosting. It looks like Hallie was going to be the second to take a taste of the cake.

When you are seven, you can read your own birthday cards. Garrett read each one to us.

Smiling Sam

Everyone had to wear a birthday hat, even Joey. By the way, Joey, Nancy and Tim have birthdays this week.

Matt has a suspicious look on his face. I wonder what he was thinking?

Oh, now I know what he was thinking - that he was going to snap Susan's birthday hat.

Matt seemed to get lots of pleasure from his trick.

Susan didn't think it was so funny.

He won't do it again, will he?

Wrong - he did it again!

Big Mick and little Brooklyn

Cousins: Brooklyn and Anna

Anna gave lots of kisses to her cousin.

How sweet!

Kelly seemed surprised, but pleased with her gift from Nancy, Debbie and me. We gave her a PINK set of tools. Kelly wanted the pink set so she would know who took her 'stay in the house' tools. I am thinking Joey has been the culprit. We all need to be on the lookout for any pink tools in Joey's pickup. It seems Colleen and Lori can relate to Kelly's situation.

Garrett, what's in the back of the pickup?

A birthday bike!!

This isn't a photo from the birthday party, it is from Saturday morning at Garrett's basketball game. Anna wasn't too interested in her brother's game, she spent her time coloring on the leap frog. I love the pink hat (from Nancy) and the cheerleader outfit.
