Garrett's First Communion and Party - You knew there would be a party

Garrett celebrated his first communion last Sunday at Saint Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Wilson.  He wasn't as serious as he looked in this photo.

Some of Garrett's support group: Susan, Sam, Hallie, Anna, and Jo

Avery and Sharon with Kevin in the background

Garrett put a little umph in to opening this present.

He received a new rope and a rope bag.

Susan and her grandkids. It isn't easy getting a photo with everyone looking at the camera.
Nice face Anna!

The first rule about roping - no roping people!
Joey broke his own rule by roping his youngest son Sam.

Joey was using Sharon and Avery as a human shield so Kevin would not rope him.

Garrett and Sam were playing the role of the horned steer to antagonize the person who had the rope.

In addition to roping, we also played baseball.

Kevin gave Sam a helping hand with the rope.

Brooklyn and Avery had their own ballgame.

Surely Anna won't let go of the rope?

Of course she was going to let go of the rope just to see her brother fall to the ground.
By the way, no children were harmed during these shenanigans.

What a wonderful day! Besides all the fun there was great food and lots of catch up conversation. A great party for all. Nancy
