Happy Thanksgiving!

Nancy and I spent Thanksgiving at my sister Debbie's house. Of course, we had lots of great food with a 'thankful' ambiance in the air. My favorite part was the plethora of desserts. I went for the traditional pumpkin pie with homemade whipped cream on top.

Hallie and Natalie spent time riding the horse. Red was a favorite of her daddy John when he was a young boy.

Yes, we traveled from Dorrance to Debbie's house in Mick and Colleen's motor home. We had a great time on the trip.

Happy Birthday Di

I really did fly on the K-State plane

I feel special now! Yes, I flew on one of K-State's planes - the turbo prop Beechcraft - last Monday to Scott City as part of an Alumni Center recruiting trip for high school seniors. I went with a couple of students, an admission representation, and an Alumni Center representative. We landed in Scott City and then drove to Dighton for a dinner and short program. I gave a short speech about K-State and the School of Leadership Studies. The flight from Manhattan to Scott City took about an hour and we flew right over Dorrance!

Cousins Anna and Hallie enjoyed Aunt Debbie's cupcakes. I think they each had three before the day was over. Their mode of eating was to lick the frosting off the top and then ask for another cupcake.

I am not sure about this look on Anna's face, but she really did love the cupcake - frosting.

Who needs hands to eat a cupcake? Hallie didn't waste any time getting to the good part.

Todd's farewell party

Yes it is true - Todd is leaving K-State and going to the University of South Florida to work in their leadership program. The Bulls of USF put an all out recruiting effort to get Todd to join their team. I do believe he was the #1 rated recruit in the nation and #1 on their list. I think they made an offer he couldn't refuse AND, well, it is Florida. I wish the best to Todd, but I will miss him immensely.

Happy Birthday Stacia - otherwise known as Natalie's Mom

I love this photo of Stacia and Natalie because it really shows Stacia's gentle nature and her love of Natalie.

Dedicated K-State fans

Nancy, Susan and I huddled during the K-State/Nebraska game to keep us warm from the chilly temperatures and the wind that blew right in our faces.
