Valentine's Weekend Fun with Family

Nancy and I started our Valentine's weekend on Friday by eating at Fogo de Chao at the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City. It is a Brazilian restaurant that serves skewers of meats to your table. Nancy loves lamb so she ate lots of lamb chops and a few slices of leg of lamb. I enjoyed the ribs, pork loin, and prime rib. The gauchos carrying the meat from table to table and they cut off the portion you want. As our friend Olivia said, you can founder at Fogo de Chao if you don't have much self control. Nancy and I returned home in Manhattan on Saturday and enjoyed time with Joey, Kelly, Garrett, Anna and Sam. Joey and Kelly attended the K-State men's basketball game while Nancy and I played with the young ones. The group spent Saturday night with us and then Kevin and Sharon came over for breakfast on Sunday morning. We had a great time with all of them. Nancy and I took the kids to the Manhattan city park, then we played in the hot tub, then we watched lots and lots of Popeye the Sailor Man videos.

The Inside Version - Pearl decided she would be part of the family photo

It's Nascar time - we decided to get Jeff Gordon out for race day.

Sam enjoyed his first meeting with Jeff Gordon.

Nice hat Nancy

Nancy gave Anna a gift of earrings, ring and necklace.

Even the dogs are not immuned to the kids - Sam put stickers on Kramer's back.

A family affair - Sam, Garrett and Anna watched youtube videos of tractors and combines.

Sharon and Kevin - yes, it snowed Sunday morning in Manhattan.

Garrett is the accordion player in his band - The Home on the Range Gang.

Garrett and Anna performed several songs for us. They used our bed as the stage.

More performing

They not only sing, but they also dance during the performances.

Garrett loves to wear Nancy's Dr. Zhivago hat.

There is nothing like love between dad and son.

Oh, that is so sweet. Nancy and Pearl gave each other a Valentine kiss.

The look of love

Sweet Sam, or should I say - two-year-old Sam. He definitely has attitude right now.
