Thinking about my Mom and Dad

Tuesday, September 29, would have been my Mom and Dad's 60th wedding anniversary so I am thinking about them today. Dad died on March 9, 2009. Mom is going strong and takes care of her great grandchildren. This photo was taken in November of 2008 when Dad had minor surgery at the Hays Hospital. I just wanted to let you know that I am missing my Dad and thinking about my Mom.

I have been thinking about Dad and Mom too, Mary Kay. I can just hear Dad saying that Mom is the best west of the Mississippi! That was always his saying when trying to tell us how good something was. That is a great picture of the three of you. I love the expression on Dad's face. Mom, it was 60 years ago today that you and Dad were married and had breakfast at the priest's house. My, how time flies!! Love, Susan

I was told many times that I was the best at whatever I was doing "West of the Mississippi". Dad had a way of making everyone feel good! I can also hear him yelling for "Velma Mae"!! Wow 10 years since that 50th Celebration....time does fly! Debbie
