Monday harvest and then a Rain Delay

Matt and Joey take a little break from running the combines.

Mick unloaded wheat onto the grain cart.

Mick needed a little rejuvenation with a Bud Light and a beef jerky

Five of us left the farm this morning in the toner - Mick and Kendall drew the short straws and had to ride in the back.

Matt, the 8650 tractor and the truck

Matt checked out the truck and the grain carts. This truck actually got stuck later in the evening on another run. These fields are close to Lake Wilson where it is very hilly. The rains made the roads too slick and the truck could not make it up the hill. Joey unhooked the 8650 tractor from the grain cart and pulled the truck up the hill.

Mick cutting wheat in the 9600. Notice the dark clouds in the background. We cut until 8 or so and then the rains came and stopped everything.
