More harvest photos from Dorrance

I am not sure if Nancy is enjoying her job as sous chef or not! She was in the middle of making a zuchini cake when I disturbed her concentration.

Matt started working a second job as window washer.

Ok, so maybe Matt was just cleaning the dust off the combine windows so he and Donna could see clearly.

Just a close-up of the wheat.
You can tell it is definitely ripe by the way the heads are bent over.

Susan and Mick were the first in line for Karna's stuffed peppers.

Even Anna has her special seat at harvest lunch.

Pearl rode in the tractor with me while I drilled silage feed in the 23 acre patch - which is only 22 acres. By the way, the field called the alfalfa patch hasn't had alfalfa in it for 30 years.

Garrett and Donna sat on the back of the service truck waiting for a combine to pick them up.

Rain - stay away!
