No summer is complete without a trip to the county fair

Hallie ended the trip to the Fair by going down the big slide at the "real" play park.

Hallie tries out the tractor with Dad's help.

Hallie's other favorite seat was on the elephant on the merry-go-round. Kelly and Anna also rode the ride.

Anna rides her pink pony and gives her princess wave. Kelly rode with her.

Anna ate the traditional fair food, a funnel cake.

Matt, the Lemonade Czar, found the lemonade stand.
TheFresh Squeezed was not completely up to the "Matt Standard"!

More fair food - the pretzel with cheese dip. Joey and Garrett shared lots of laughs at the fair.

Anna and her fresh squeezed lemonade. Remember, you can click on a photo to see it enlarged. I love this photo - it is a good one to enlarge.

There is nothing better than county fair funnel cake.

Anna was a little cranky - before the funnel cake and the fresh squeezed lemonade. She needed love and a hug from her grandma Susan to make her feel better.

The reporter from the Russell newspaper caught Lori and asked her the question of the week. What do you think of the stimulus package?

Sweet Nancy

Susan and Sam posed in front of the Grand Champion Steer sign because Susan sponsors the award for the Russell County Fair. She provides the trophy and savings bond for the 4-H member who shows the grand champion.

Kelly watched as Garrett rode in the tractor pull.

Sam and his dad, Joey

Go, Garrett, Go!

Garrett made it exactly 20 feet. Good job young man.

The manager doing managerial things - reading the newspaper.

Hallie sat at the desk in the office at Thielen Farms. She said she had work to do.

More of Hallie imitating her Dad.

The problem with the stimulus package is that the government has to get the money from somewhere--TAXES, individuals can always spend there money more efficiently than the government!!! I think that is what Lori said.

I used to love the Russell fair, up until I rode the spider ride with Matt. But I still loved the fair, just not the rides.

The Spider ride? Was that when Matt lost his supper on the ride? The only thing I remember was that after Matt exited the ride, the carnival worker moved a water hose to the ride to wash the spot where Matt was sitting.
