What has Nancy been doing on the farm?

Nancy has taken responsibility for feeding the bottle calves. These calves have been abandoned by their mothers or have some other unusual circumstance. Obviously, the best case scenario is for them to be with their mothers in the pastures, but these are the ones who need human care. Nancy mixes the milk replacer in the breeze way of the house and then carries the bottles and milk to the barn.

Nancy has singled out Red from the other calves because she has been sick and needs extra attention during feeding time.
The rest of the story - it is quite the circus when feeding the other calves because they push each other out of the way and compete for the most milk, The bottle holders on the fence worked for about 2 minutes and then the calves knocked the bottle holder off the fence. We are going to secure the red bottle holders to the fence and I think they will work just fine.

Matt, it is bad enough that you are napping while the rest of us are working, but did you have to wear your dirty boots in the house?

Joey and I delivered anhydrous tanks (fertilizer) to and from Agco and the fields. The fertilizer is being applied prior to planting milo in the fields.

Joey is carrying an empty mineral feeder - Garrett is following him. We have been hauling cows and bulls to their summer pastures.

More of Joey and Garrett

Joey and Garrett (holding the trailer gate open) watch as the bulls leave the trailer.

Joey emptied the mineral in the feeder, notice Garrett climbing on the trailer. The mineral is to make up for any nutritional deficiencies in the pasture grasses.

After I took the previous photo of Joey filling the mineral feeder, I turned around and took this photo facing the other direction.
